Lakeway to hold 'Chalk Your Walk' event

The city of Lakeway is looking for artistic talent throughout its neighborhoods—and the works created should be temporary.

Starting April 15 at 9 a.m., Lakeway officials are asking residents to chalk up their driveways and sidewalks with creative images and positive messages.

Information from the city states participants should take a picture of their final work, "tag @cityoflakeway on Instagram, Facebook or Twitter, or send us your picture through email at [email protected] ... and use #chalkyourwalk as well."

On April 20, city leaders will feature those pictures on Lakeway's city social media channels.

"We will have multi-colored chalk along with some other goodies available at the Activity Center for pickup starting Wednesday, April 15 at 9 a.m. (limit 1 bag per child while supplies last)," the city's website states. "This will be a drive-through service available at the front entrance of the Activity Center located at 105 Cross Creek. A city staff member will come out and deliver your bag."
