The city of Lakeway is following up on a revelation that a June 20 party in the Lake Travis area had some COVID-19 positive attendees by encouraging residents to get tested at a location within the city's medical district.
The tests will take place June 27 at 200 Medical Parkway, Lakeway.
"Work with your primary doctor if you have insurance," information from the city states. "It’s important not to wait for test results before isolating. If you have symptoms or think you were in contact with someone who tested positive, self-isolate immediately."
During a weekly address to residents June 25, Lakeway Mayor Sandy Cox said the number of active cases in the Lake Travis area grew to about 50 in the last week and added city officials have been working with Baylor Scott & White Health to help bring easier ways to get tested in Lakeway.
