After seven months of construction, Westlake Country Club revealed its sports club’s building renovations at a July 17 grand opening.
The setup
Westlake Country Club is undergoing a multimillion-dollar transformation with multiple phases into 2025, General Manager Chip Gist said. The new sports club building has three floors, broken down by:
First floor: Locker rooms, racquet pro shop and grab-and-go food/drink area
Second floor:Technogym fitness equipment, cardio and circuit training zones and free weights
Third floor: Yoga and barre studio and a pilates reformer studio with eight reformers

What else?
Additional construction at the country club began as early as June 2022, Gist said, and renovations include:
Upgraded pools: An expanded pool deck, shade installation and a new sound system that opened May 29
The Roost: The outdoor dining area enlarged its bar, added furniture and water-resistant shaded walls, which opened May 29
Golf course: This redesign, led by PGA champion Lanny Wadkins’ firm, upgraded 18 holes and incorporates the hill country terrain, and opened in November 2023
Racquet sports: LED lighting was added to resurfaced tennis courts, two of which got transformed into six pickleball courts
Construction for the main clubhouse is set to begin later this year to add patio seating and renovate the dining area. The Westlake Chamber of Commerce’s ribbon cutting ceremony for the sports club building is scheduled for Aug. 20 from 5:30-7 p.m.
