Trader Joe’s, Sweetgreen: 16 business updates in the Lake Travis, Westlake area

A new grocery store and two new eateries are just a couple of updates to know for the Lake Travis-Westlake area this November.

The grocery chain opened its fourth Austin-area location this fall. The store offers specialty items alongside staples such as fresh produce, meat, milk, eggs and bakery items. A selection of fresh flowers are also available. The new location, in the Shops at the Galleria, was previously occupied by Office Depot.

Consisting of 318 multifamily units and four townhomes, the development has two of its nine buildings move-in ready, according to a business representative in October. The site offers one-, two- and three-bedroom apartments and three-bedroom townhomes.

The restaurant serves salads, bowls, protein plates and sides. A new Late Fall Menu is also available, with dishes such as the Garlic Parm Cauli Bowl and the Chicken Cauli Plate. Located in The Village at Westlake, the 2,490-square-foot location will take the place of a former AT&T store.

CraigO’s Pizza & Pastaria

The Austin-area Italian restaurant will open a new food truck this fall. Items included on the menu at CraigO’s include pizza, pasta, calzones and subs, as well as desserts, such as cannoli and cheesecake.

Texas Children’s Pavilion for Women

Texas Children’s has plans to open a new Women’s Services practice in Lakeway, according to a permit filed with TDLR. Lakeway’s Zoning and Planning commission approved a permit for a sign at Lakeway Medical Village on Nov. 5, across from Baylor Scott & White Medical Center-Lakeway. The TDLR permit estimates work will be completed in early 2026.
