Pecan Street Festival to return to Bee Cave this fall

The festival will open at 11 a.m both days, closing at 9 p.m. on Saturday and 8 p.m. on Sunday.

The live music lineup for the festival is as follows:

• Saturday, Sept. 13
  • Noon: McKenna Michels
  • 1:30 p.m: Henry Invisible
  • 3:00 p.m: Bruce Smith Band
  • 4:30 p.m: Jennifer Foster and The Audacity
  • 6:00 p.m: FOAM
  • 7:45 p.m: Bros Fresh
• Sunday, Sept. 14
  • Noon: Songwriter Round
  • 1:15 p.m: Armadillo Road
  • 2:30 p.m: So Called Underground
  • 3:45 p.m: Brian Sactocci
  • 5:15 p.m: El Tule
  • 6:45 p.m: Jo James

Some context

The festival has historically been held on Sixth Street, formerly known as Pecan Street, in downtown Austin, but was moved to the Hill Country Galleria last spring due to space constraints imposed by new safety bollards and fences downtown.

“In order to continue with the celebration of the 50th anniversary of Pecan Street Spring Festival, we had no choice but to move outside of the city of Austin,” Festival Executive Producer Luis Zapata said in March. “The current configuration of Sixth Street would have made the festival financially unsound as we would have lost a third of space sales revenue.”
