For Brian George the energy was as abundant as the sunshine on Lake Travis during the late June lead-up to the opening of Lake Travis Waterloo Adventures.
For a year and a half, George, the co-owner of LTWA as well as Lake Travis Zipline Adventures, has been working behind the scenes to gather information, brainstorm and build the area’s newest attraction, including its major green and yellow challenge course that can be seen from around the lake.
LTWA offers guests what it calls “the ultimate lake experience,” which includes a floating water park, obstacle course and access to a resort-style beach.
The floating challenge course is a highlight and includes a 600-foot water playground that offers more than 70 obstacles.
One of the best things about the course is that it can be adjusted, changed and made more challenging, George said.
“It’s like Legos,” he explained. “Everything is interconnectable to fit your specific needs.”
George said he plans to cross-promote LTWA with the zipline company that he cofounded in 2011.
Customers can look down from the final zipline of the day onto the challenge course and vice versa. George refers to the entire area as “Adventure Island.”
