There are numerous candidates on the November 2019 ballot, including the city of Houston and New Caney ISD board of trustees positions. Since Kingwood was annexed by the city of Houston in the 1990s, Kingwood residents can cast their ballots for Houston mayor, city controller, City Council at-large positions and Houston City Council, District E. Meanwhile, residents living south of FM 1960 just west of Hwy. 59 can cast ballots for Houston City Council District B.
