Why are you running for office?

I’m running to continue fighting for conservative values, limited government, and policies that put families, jobs, and America first. That’s why Governor Greg Abbott has endorsed me saying, “Briscoe is the proven conservative champion Texans need fighting for them in Washington.”

What would your top priorities be if elected?

My priorities are securing the border, protecting parental rights, defending the Constitution, supporting economic growth, and public safety. As a state representative, I blocked the East Plano Islamic Center and banned Sharia law courts from Texas. I will continue defending American law. That’s why Governor Greg Abbott has endorsed me.

What are the biggest challenges facing this district and how do you plan to address these issues?

This district faces economic, public safety, infrastructure, and education challenges amid rapid growth. I will advance pro-jobs policies supporting agriculture in Liberty County, back the Port of Houston as a key economic engine, and support community colleges that train workers for good-paying jobs, while standing with law enforcement and parents.

With district boundaries and representation changing, how will you ensure your constituents have the resources they need?

I will remain accessible by maintaining staffed district offices in both counties and deploying mobile district offices throughout the district. As a State Representative, I built strong relationships with local leaders and agencies, and I will carry those connections to Congress to ensure every constituent has a responsive, effective advocate.

Why are you running for office?

Political polarization in Washington has caused common sense solutions to the major problems facing our nation to be overlooked and critical needs of our constituents to go unaddressed. As a moderate Republican with a deep understanding of health care, AI and foreign affairs, I am uniquely qualified to advance innovative solutions.

What would your top priorities be if elected?

My highest priority is to offer improved health care, both short and long term, to all Americans. I have a unique plan focused on improved preventive care and early detection to maintain wellness and reduce insurance costs coupled with research on cures than will improve Medicare and Social Security solvency.

What are the biggest challenges facing this district and how do you plan to address these issues?

Affordable health care is a major challenge for which my background will allow me to advance unique solutions. I will fight for federal money for flood mitigation efforts across the district. Also, I will maintain and grow our commitment to our petrochemical industry centered around Port Houston and the Ship Channel.

I am committed to representing all of the constituents of the new District 9 from Cleveland to Liberty to Pasadena and everywhere in between. I believe in open communication and will always be accessible personally through regular town hall meetings, as well as virtually any time through multiple digital platforms.
