Officials with The Sweet Swirl hosted a grand opening celebration in Humble on Aug. 14, according to a post on the business’s Facebook page. The Sweet Swirl offers an assortment of sweet treats and snacks, including ice cream, slushies, frozen hot chocolate, floats, espresso and coffee, and milkshakes, per the website.
Brooklyn Pizzeria
Officials with Brooklyn Pizzeria hosted a soft opening Aug. 18 and will host a grand opening Aug. 22 for the new Kingwood location, General Manager Jordan Mintz confirmed via email Aug. 17. Brooklyn Pizzeria offers a variety of Italian dishes, including brick-oven New York-style pizza, pasta, wings, appetizers, subs, salads and calzones, Mintz said.

Mambo Seafood
Construction on a new Mambo Seafood location in Humble is expected to begin on Aug. 17 and wrap up by Dec. 1, per a July 28 filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation. Mambo Seafood has 14 locations across the Greater Houston area and is known for its seafood and fast-casual concept. The eatery offers menu items including its famous Mambo rice, seafood boils, ceviche and fried seafood platters
Relocations
Dreaux's Creole & Cajun Seafood
Officials with Dreaux's Creole & Cajun Seafood announced the restaurant will reopen at a new location following the business’s temporary closure in July, according to a post on the restaurant’s Facebook page. Dreaux's offers a variety of Cajun cuisine, including seafood gumbo, fried fish, red beans and rice, crawfish and seasoned Cajun seafood.

Gelato Bliss
Gelato Bliss marked its first year in business July 11, a spokesperson for the business confirmed July 24. Owned by a local Kingwood family, the business offers authentic Italian gelato and dairy-free fresh fruit sorbet. Flavors offered range from Texas Sheet Cake and Amaretto Cherry to Mint Oreo and Mango Creamsicle, per the business's Facebook page.
