Micah Young, Joni Shaw Smith, Sandi Walker win seats on Keller ISD board of trustees

Micah Young, Joni Shaw Smith and Sandi Walker won seats on the Keller ISD board of trustees, according to unofficial results from Tarrant County in the May 7 election.

In Keller ISD, Place 1, Place 2 and Place 3 on the board of trustees were up for election.

In the Place 1 race, Young, who is a broker associate and real estate team owner, won over incumbent Craig Allen. Young received 8,379 of the votes cast for 63.41% of the vote while Allen received 4,834 votes for 36.59%.

Smith, a creative director and multimedia live events producer, won the Place 2 seat over certified Texas educator Julie Nors and incumbent Karina Davis. Smith received 7,390 of the votes cast for 56.12%, while Nors garnered 4,244 of the votes for 32.23% and Davis received 1,534 votes for 11.65%.

For Place 3, Walker, a freelance writer and substitute teacher, won over retired veteran James "Ed" Duncan. Walker received 9,020 of the votes cast for 69.25% to Duncan's 4,006 votes for 30.75%.
