1. Moon Wolf Provisions now serving coffee, baked goods in Richardson
Moon Wolf Provisions is now serving specialty coffee and baked goods at its new brick-and-mortar location in Richardson.
Moon Wolf first opened as a trailer, which will still be used for catering and mobile events. The coffee shop serves a variety of drinks, including cold brew, matcha and specialty lattes. Moon Wolf also offers coffee cake, banana bread and tiramisu baked in-house and bagels from Starship Bagel.
2. KPot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot debuts north Fort Worth location
KPot Korean BBQ & Hot Pot held its grand opening in the North City shopping center in the Alliance area of Fort Worth at the end of April.
Customers can create dishes in a build-your-own meal format, which are then heated on dining-table stoves with assistance from restaurant staff, according to the restaurant's website.
The meal starts with eight different soup bases with varying levels of spice and gluten-free options. The guest then chooses their meats, seafood, vegetables and noodles before creating their own sauce.

3. Cracker Barrel sets updated opening date for Prosper location
Prosper’s new Cracker Barrel Old Country Store is set to open this May, according to a company representative.
The new location is now scheduled to open to the public May 11, the representative said. Cracker Barrel was initially scheduled to open April 27 but later shifted opening timelines.
The eatery's menu features a variety of southern food options, such as all-day breakfast, country fried steak, meatloaf, and chicken n’ dumplings.
4. Potbelly to bring sandwiches, soups to McKinney in late 2026
A Potbelly restaurant is slated to open in McKinney later this year, a company representative confirmed.
The sandwich shop offers a variety of toasted sandwiches as well as salads, soups, macaroni and cheese, milkshakes and more, according to the company's menu. Construction of the restaurant in a 1,967-square-foot shell space is expected to cost $450,000, according to a development filing with the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation.
5. Baskin Robbins to open second location in Frisco
Baskin Robbins is opening a new location in Frisco.
The ice cream store offers ice cream scoops, sundaes, drinks, custom cakes, pies and more. Ice cream flavors include old fashioned butter pecan, banana dulce de leche, cherries jubilee, chocolate chip and more, according to its website.
Another Frisco Baskin Robbins is open on Preston Road. The company website states all locations are locally owned and operated.

6. Malai Kitchen celebrates 10 years of bringing Vietnamese, Thai dishes to Southlake
Malai Kitchen celebrated 10 years in Southlake, according to a Facebook post from the eatery.
The restaurant serves Thai and Vietnamese dishes, including pad Thai fried rice, curry bowls, salads and soups.
Husband-and-wife team Braden and Yasmin Wages, the owners and creators of the restaurant, used their travels, experiences and talents to bring their take on traditional Thai and Vietnamese dishes to Southlake, according to previous reporting.
Chef Braden Wages sources fresh ingredients to make curry paste, coconut milk and sriracha sauce from scratch, according to Malai Kitchen’s website.
