Brian Davis and Joe Craven, the duo behind On-Site PC Services, celebrated the company's 25th anniversary May 19.
Davis serves as the president, while Craven is the vice president for the Roanoke company, which provides a variety of managed IT services and cybersecurity.
“A lot of people we worked with helped make the company what it is today,” Davis said. “Amazing client relationships that we built, we consider them partners. Some of them have been with me since 2003.”
The details
There are 20 employees at the business now. Davis said clients include organizations in construction, logistics, healthcare, nonprofits, certified public accountants and a chamber of commerce. Most of the work is in the Dallas-Fort Worth area, but there are clients in Austin, San Antonio and even Oklahoma, Davis said.
“Our footprint is growing,” Craven said. “All our clients talk to the ownership 100% of the time. They have access to us, and that just demonstrates we got skin in the game. We are small and agile, but we fight above our weight class.”
Craven said one of the first things they ask new clients is about business problems, not IT problems. He said the company is well-versed enough to handle IT problems, but wants to see companies grow and prosper.
Davis said a key for his company is staying ahead of AI threats and being proactive with customers on cybersecurity, rather than reactive.
“Even with these great defenses in place, [hackers] sneak through. Our job is to be the last line of defense,” Craven said.
The background
Davis said the business started in his house in 2001 before opening in Blue Mound, then Southlake. On-Site PC Services moved to Roanoke in 2023.
Davis said there were clients for the company in Roanoke, which played a role in the transition.
The roots of the partnership started years earlier in Lubbock, when they were both at Texas Tech. Davis left his job at Texas Instruments in 2010 to focus solely on the computer business. Craven spent 20 years working in large firms handling IT issues before joining Davis in 2022.
