The center offers a camp for children interested in learning about French culture and traditions. Activities include sporting events themed around the World Cup (soccer), the Tour de France (cycling) and the French Open (tennis). Science Camp

Summer Academy
Elementary school and junior high school students choose math or test preparation classes to have fun and to improve their skills. Ages 10-16. June 5-July 14. Ranges from $269 to $695 per week depending on program.
Writing Camp
Writing Camp is designed to help students improve their writing skills, including sentence structure, organization, word choice and finding a voice. Ages 8-16. June 5-July 14. $249-$295.

Camp West
Campers begin each day with high-energy interactive performances. There are also worship sessions, games and live character skits. Participants engage in various sports activities, including zip lining, water slides and swimming. Ages grades 1-8. The Y offers summer-camp programs throughout the Greater Houston area, including the Westheimer Parkway and Main Street locations in Katy. Camps offer a variety of activities depending on location, including swimming, field trips, sports programs, outdoor activities, arts and crafts, science, reading, archery and exercise classes. An outdoor camp is offered at Camp Cinco behind Creech Elementary School on a 220-acre plot owned by the Y and includes a rope course, BB gun safety and marksmanship courses, and archery lessons.
