As of Aug. 1, VibraLife of Katy, a new post-acute care and assisted living community, is now accepting patients.

Located off Parkwest Green Drive adjacent to Memorial Hermann Katy Hospital, the new 58,000-square-foot facility has 104 beds, including a 70-bed skilled nursing facility, an 18-bed assisted living center and a 16-bed secured memory care unit, said Jade Waddy, senior media Relations representative for the Memorial Hermann Health System, which is affiliated with the facility.

The facility will provide skilled nursing services specially customized to meet the needs of patients recovering from acute injuries and illnesses, as well as elderly residents who require residential care assistance, Waddy said.

“As part of our dedication to advance the health of the Greater Houston population, we are thrilled to be part of such an innovative facility that answers a need in this community for specialized, skilled nursing services, and helps to ensure patients are getting the right care they need, at the right time, and in the right place," said Dr. James McCarthy, executive vice president and chief physician executive at Memorial Hermann. "VibraLife of Katy is taking post-acute care in this region to the next level, offering rehabilitation care, restorative and healing health care, and comfortable living accommodations for patients who may need a little extra attention following their hospital stays."

The Katy Area Chamber of Commerce will celebrate the grand opening of the new facility with a ribbon cutting from 4:30-7:30 p.m. Aug. 2, but registration is required.

Waddy said those interested in joining the facility can call 346-762-6300 for more information.
