A new Domino’s supply chain center in Katy is slated for completion in late 2020, according to a press release. The 59,000-square-foot facility will be located at 900 Igloo Road, Katy, and will create about 85 jobs in the Katy area. The cost for construction has not been released, but developer National Property Holdings and Dominos are funding the project. The project has been in the works for a year, and construction is estimated to take place over nine or 10 months and to open by the end of 2020.
Fulshear City Council approved a new development agreement in November between the city of Fulshear and WSS-15 Fulshear Marketplace LLC. The property includes 33.3 acres divided into four areas. Areas 1 and 2 are being considered for commercial development and include roughly 12 total acres. Area 3 is to be used for drainage and trail improvements by the city and includes about 6 acres and right of way on Huggins Road. Area 4 includes about 16 acres and is to be used for residential development, but the specifics have yet to be determined. The city will invest between $100,000 and $2.5 million for the project, but the project timelines are still to be determined.
District West is a forthcoming 100-acre mixed-use development located at the southwest corner of Westpark Tollway and Peek Road, Katy. About 77,000 square feet of restaurants and businesses still need to be preleased. The completed project will also include a retail building in front of the existing Star Cinema Grill, said Robert Ferguson Jr., a partner with real estate developer Ferguson Family Partners. He added that construction for Park Westheimer Boulevard to access to the south side of District West was completed in early January, but construction for interior infrastructure has not started. District West is expected to be completed by early 2021.
