Seeing a youth sports hub in Katy, Sullivan said he was met with an opportunity to help local players improve with the company’s approach to hitting, including a scientific and mental approach.

“We are on the cutting edge of youth sports as far as baseball and softball are concerned,” he said. “With our metrics that we use, we believe in the biomechanical aspect of hitting—how your body moves [and] what muscles we are activating in our swing. We are very scientific about our approach.”

The Katy location also offers free personalized swing evaluations including in-depth analysis with comparison to major league players, Sullivan said. The evaluation also features a report with exit velocity, spin axis, spin rate and distance assessments.

“We put their swing up on our big screen and show them their swing in slow motion [to] show them what they are doing well and what they can improve on; then we will show them their swing side-by-side with a professional baseball player,” Sullivan said. “The kids absolutely love it, and it’s a great learning experience for the parents as well.”

Those who are enrolled in a membership will also receive monthly re-evaluations to see how they are improving, he said.
