The Katy ISD board of trustees on Nov. 24 approved plans for four new schools and the renovation and expansion of 10 district buildings associated with the $748 million bond passed Nov. 4.
At their school board meeting, trustees OK'd the design of the district's eighth high school, 15th junior high and 38th and 39th elementary schools a week after receiving the plans.
PBK Architects will build the high school and junior high on a joint secondary school campus at the intersection of Stockdick School Road and Peek Road just west of the Grand Parkway. The campus, with a price tag of $202 million for both schools, is scheduled to open in time for the 2017 school year.
