Democrat and incumbent Lesley Briones and Republican Steve Radack will face off for Harris County Precinct 4 Commissioner this November.

Early voting begins Oct. 19 and runs through Oct. 30, according to the Texas Secretary of State's website. Election day is Nov. 3, and polls will be open from 7 a.m.-7 p.m.
Registered voters can cast their ballots at any polling location during early voting and on election day.

Why are you running for this position?
I’m running to make sure every person in Harris County has a fair shot. Our residents deserve leaders who will listen, fight for their best interests, and deliver real results. I want to continue delivering tangible results for the people with heart, hustle, and higher standards.
What would your top priorities be if elected?
Affordability, public safety, and flood prevention. As Commissioner, I delivered tax relief for seniors, pathways to good-paying careers, and built over 80 miles of sidewalks and many other critical infrastructure projects. I supported fair, competitive pay for law enforcement and expanded mental health programs. I invested billions in flood mitigation.
What are the biggest challenges facing Harris County Precinct 4?
Precinct 4 is one of the fastest-growing regions in the nation, and we have to keep pace with that growth. That means building with the future in mind: investing in flood prevention projects and infrastructure that will support generations to come.
How do you plan to involve residents in the decision-making process?
Our job is to make government transparent and accessible to everyone, so community input is central to our work. We hosted over 50 town halls, 180+ community events, and convened working committees to get feedback and direction from residents. I will continue making sure every resident is heard.
What perspective would you bring if elected as Harris County Commissioner Precinct 4?
As Commissioner, I bring a proven record of delivering results and strengthening the communities I serve. I have worked every day to make our neighborhoods safer, support working families, and protect against flooding. In a second term, I would continue fighting for the county our children and families deserve.
Why are you running for this position?
To stop the wasteful spending of hundreds of millions of your Harris County tax dollars annually, balance the budget, and get back to the true business of County Government. I will concentrate on creating a safe community through maintaining and developing infrastructure, parks, and community centers in Precinct 4.
What would your top priorities be if elected?
Balance the County budget and reduce the property tax rate by eliminating programs and departments that are not needed. Concentrate on providing services and projects that are meaningful and create a safe community environment through proper maintenance and development of infrastructure, parks, and community centers. Support law enforcement.
What are the biggest challenges facing Harris County Precinct 4?
Growth, infrastructure, flood control, and reducing crime. Commissioners Court must appropriate the County budget correctly to improve, maintain and develop the Precinct’s and Harris County’s infrastructure, fund statutory departments, and support additional law enforcement patrol. Work with Flood Control to schedule, construct, and implement projects to directly impact flooding.
How do you plan to involve residents in the decision-making process?
I have always had an open-door policy. I welcome individual and community input regarding the Precinct and County. I personally return phone calls to those who want to speak with me. I will engage through town hall meetings, social media, community events, and speakers addressing Commissioners Court.
What perspective would you bring if elected as Harris County Commissioner Precinct 4?
Experience. As County Commissioner for over 30 years, I provided constituent services, implemented sound policies, and created balanced County budgets. A large area of Precinct 4 was previously Precinct 3 where my staff and I maintained and developed a 15,000-acre park system and over 1,800 miles of roads.
