Celebree School of Katy at Tamarron is officially open following delays.
What residents need to know
The child care facility offers infant and toddler care, preschool, before- and after-school care, and summer camp programs. The programs focus on early childhood development through curriculum and connection, according to its website.
The Katy location is owned and operated by Salma Tejani, who is a mother to a 12-year-old boy and a 9-year-old girl.
“I wanted to bring a brand to the community that if it was there, I would have enrolled my own children in, and that is exactly what I did,” she said. “The values of this school align with my personal values, and once your child is enrolled in my school, my team and I consider them as our own and invest in their social, emotional and academic growth as such.”
Zooming out
The Maryland-based franchise has over 80 locations nationwide, with three others in the Houston area in Fulshear, Richmond and Spring, according to its website.
Dates to know
Celebree will open its doors for a community backyard party on May 17 from 9 a.m.-noon, Tejani said. Guests are invited to come out to enjoy family games, activities and refreshments.
