The city of Richmond announced its offices will be closed until further notice Tuesday after days of devastating rain and flooding from Hurricane Harvey.
The city will keep water service on and will not be issuing late fees for utility payments received after the Aug. 28 due date,
according to a press release.
The city will notify residents when offices reopen for business, according to the release.
Republic Services will not be conducting trash pick-up for the city until further notice, according to a city of Richmond Facebook post.
As of Monday, the shelter at Sacred Heart Catholic Church Family Life Center in Richmond has been relocated to B.F. Terry High School at 5500 Avenue N, Rosenberg, according to the church. Residents bringing their pets are urged to bring food for their pets as well.
