Completed projects

1. Holderrieth Road widening

Project: Holderrieth Road was widened from two to four lanes between Hwy. 249 and west of Hufsmith-Kohrville Road.

Update: This project is now complete, according to an Oct. 16 news release from Harris County Precinct 3.

2. FM 1488 widening west of Magnolia

Project: FM 1488 is being widened from two to four lanes with a continuous left-turn lane between the Waller County line and FM 1774.

Update: This project is 91% completed, according to a Sept. 16 media update from the Texas Department of Transportation.

3. FM 1488 widening through Magnolia

Project: Between FM 1774 and west of FM 149 in Magnolia, FM 1488 is being widened from two to four lanes with a continuous left-turn lane.


Update: According to a Sept. 16 media update from TxDOT, this project is 52% completed.

4. Hwy. 242 widening

Project: Using existing right of way, TxDOT is widening Hwy. 242 between FM 1488 and I-45 and restriping the intersections.

Update: This project is 34% complete, according to a Sept. 16 media update from TxDOT.

5. Eastbound flyover construction on Hwy. 242


Project: Montgomery County commissioners and TxDOT are funding the construction of a flyover from northbound I-45 to eastbound Hwy. 242.

Update: As of the most recent update available Oct. 2, the TxDOT project tracker listed the project as ready to bid on Sept. 1, and $268,054 had been spent on project engineering and construction.
