Harris County Precinct 3’s project to widen Holderrieth Road in Tomball is complete, according to an Oct. 16 news release.

The gist

Holderrieth Road was widened from two lanes to four lanes, and the project also included nearly 2 miles of roadway lined with a 5-foot sidewalk, a traffic signal at the intersection with South Cherry Street and a storm sewer, according to the news release.

The project, which cost $31.4 million, was funded by Precinct 3 and the Texas General Land Office, according to prior reporting.

“Our Precinct 3 team of engineers assess the needs of our roadways from trends in traffic volume and flow to the need for additional drainage and pedestrian access,” Precinct 3 Commissioner Tom Ramsey said via news release. “Holderrieth Road is a main artery through the Tomball area, and we hope drivers will now enjoy a smoother road and better commute as they travel to their destinations.”
