A second project by TxDOT to widen FM 1488 from the Waller County line near Joseph Road to FM 1774 in the city of Magnolia was 64% complete as of a May 4 update from TxDOT, the latest available. The project will widen FM 1488 from two lanes to four lanes with a continuous left-turn lane.
