4 Hwy. 249 lane closures set this weekend, Oct. 18-20

Hwy. 249 tolled lanes are expected to open in Tomball in mid-December, according to the Harris County Toll Road Authority.

Hwy. 249 tolled lanes are expected to open in Tomball in mid-December, according to the Harris County Toll Road Authority.

According to the Houston TranStar database, a portion of Hwy. 249 lanes will be closed this weekend, beginning Friday, Oct. 18.

  1. One inside lane of the Hwy. 249 southbound frontage road between Brown/Hufsmith Road and Hicks Street in Tomball is closed overnight from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, to 5 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19.

  2. Two inside lanes of the Hwy. 249 southbound frontage road between Zion Road and just south of Brown Road in Tomball are closed continuously from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 18, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 21.

  3. One alternate lane of the Hwy. 249 southbound frontage road between Spring Creek and FM 2920 is closed Saturday, Oct. 19, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.

  4. One alternate lane of the Hwy. 249 northbound frontage road between FM 2920 and Spring Creek is closed Saturday, Oct. 19, from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m.
