Readers often reach out wondering what will be done to improve safety on Boudreaux Road as more homes, businesses and thoroughfares have opened near the corridor the last few years. Larger projects include Hayden Lakes—a residential development featuring hundreds of homes—and the Grand Parkway, which opened in early 2016, driving more traffic onto Boudreaux.
Boudreaux Road is a two-lane asphalt road in Tomball. Harris County Precinct 4 has proposed widening the road between Telge and Rocky roads as a four-lane concrete roadway and improving drainage.
The project is in the study phase, and a study report is expected to go before county commissioners for approval later this year, according to Precinct 4 officials. Permitting, project design, right of way acquisition and relocating utilities must still be completed before construction can begin or a construction date can be established, officials said.
