Hwy. 249 extension through Magnolia scheduled for completion in 2021


Segment 1A of the Hwy. 249 tollroad extension project extends Hwy. 249 from FM 1774 at FM 149 in Pinehurst to FM 1488 in Magnolia. Texas Department of Transportation officials anticipate a spring 2021 end date. The project creates a new four-lane, controlled-access tollway with intermittent frontage roads and is part of the larger multi-agency effort to extend Hwy. 249 from Tomball to Navasota.
