Several lane closures are scheduled this weekend for the Tomball and Magnolia area, including a total closure of a portion of FM 149 in Magnolia, according to the Houston TranStar database.

1. A total closure of FM 149 at FM 1774 and the ongoing Hwy. 249 extension is scheduled for 6 a.m. to 7 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 13. According to information from the Hwy. 249 Project Team, bridge beams will be placed over FM 149 during the closure. Detour information will be posted, but drivers should reroute to FM 1488.



2. The Harris County Toll Road Authority also cautions drivers about an upcoming lane closure in Tomball. Two inside lanes of the Hwy. 249 southbound frontage road between Zion Road and south of Brown Road in Tomball will be closed continuously from 10 p.m. Friday, Oct. 11, to 5 a.m. Monday, Oct. 14.

3. One alternate lane of the Hwy. 249 northbound frontage road between FM 2920 and Spring Creek in Tomball will be closed from 7 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 12.
