Montgomery County Emergency Services District No. 10 held its second of three community meetings Oct. 19 at Magnolia Volunteer Fire Department Station 186. The informal event gave community members the opportunity to meet with MVFD Chief Jeff Hevey, ESD 10 commissioners and other fire department command staff.
The ESD 10 board decided to hold the meetings to inform the public about the department and answer any questions they may have about its transition, Community Impact Newspaper previously reported. The event featured activities geared toward families with children, including touring the station's fire engine and using the water hose to simulate putting out a fire.
ESD 10 is hosting its third community meeting Oct. 28 after its regularly scheduled board meeting located at 18215 Buddy Riley Blvd., Magnolia. The board meeting begins at 3:30 p.m., and the community meeting will run from 5:30-7:30 p.m.
