Lone Star College-Tomball is the newest satellite site in Harris County to accept passport applications as an alternative to processing sites at post offices.
The LSC-Tomball Community Library, located at 30555 Hwy. 249, began passport processing services Friday, Dec. 8, and accepts passport applications from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on the second Friday of each month. Although an appointment is not required at LSC-Tomball, walk-in customers may be turned away two hours prior to closing.
The service is provided by the Harris County District Clerk's Office as an alternative to U.S. Post Offices. Additional libraries in Harris County also offer passport processing services. These include Octava Fields Branch Library in Humble, County Freeman Branch Library in Clear Lake City and the John Phelps Courthouse in Pasadena.
According to the HCDCO, passport operations are suspended indefinitely at the Barbara Bush Branch Library in Cypress and the Katherine Tyra Branch Library in Katy due to severe flood damage from Hurricane Harvey.
Additional information about the passport application or processing services can be found on the district clerk's
website.
