The Texas Department of Transportation and other local entities have announced lane closures this weekend.
1. One northbound lane of
Hwy. 249 from Zion Road to the Sentinel Oaks subdivision in Tomball is closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4.
2. One northbound lane of the
Hwy. 249 frontage road at Holderrieth Road is closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4.
3. One middle lane northbound and southbound of
Hwy. 249 between Brown and Zion roads is closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4.

4. One southbound lane of
Hwy. 249 between Zion and Brown roads is closed 9 a.m.-3 p.m. Friday, Aug. 4.
5. One eastbound and westbound lane of
FM 1488 between FM 1774 and Alford Road in Magnolia is closed daily 9 a.m.-3 p.m. through Friday, Aug. 18. One alternate lane is available for drivers.
6. According to the Tomball Fire Department,
Zion Road is closed 7 a.m.-7 p.m. Saturday, Aug. 5, between Hwy. 249 and Stella Lane. Drivers are asked to find an alternate route.
7. Portions of
various downtown roads in Tomball will also be closed during Tomball Night, presented by the Greater Tomball Area Chamber of Commerce, on Friday, Aug. 4. The event begins at 5 p.m.
