The Texas Department of Transportation will close Spur 149 at FM 1488 in Magnolia beginning 5 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, as work on FM 1488 continues. Upon re-opening the intersection Tuesday, Feb. 14, traffic to and from Magnolia High School will follow a new pattern for the next 6-8 months, according to a statement from Magnolia ISD. All northbound and southbound lanes at FM 1488 will be closed daily from 5 a.m. Friday, Feb. 10, to 5 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14. Traffic on Spur 149 will travel south to FM 149 to get to FM 1488. Traffic on FM 1488 will travel south on FM 149 to get to Spur 149. Access to Magnolia High School Traffic will travel on the new section of FM 1488 once construction is completed at the intersection of Spur 149 and FM 1488.   • Entry to Magnolia High School will be just west of Spur 149 at a new traffic light on FM 1488.
  • All traffic exiting from Magnolia High School will turn left to travel east.
  • Parent pickup will travel through the main drive for the school and turn right at the circle, picking up children along the sidewalk in front of the parking lot. Traffic will exit by the natatorium to the service road.
