Legent North Houston Surgical Hospital in Tomball will begin operations May 2. Located at 24429 Hwy., Tomball, the new hospital site offers total joint replacements; sports injury surgical repair; pain procedures and injections; spine surgeries; imaging; and hand, foot, ankle and shoulder surgery.

Legent North Houston Hospital is licensed for eight beds with five inpatient VIP suites and is a surgical orthopedic and spine hospital, according to Kathryn T. Jones, interim chief nursing officer of the hospital.

“Our hospital offers state-of-the-art spine and orthopedic surgery with a fully integrated AI surgical suite. We believe the community is growing exponentially and deserves to have cutting-edge, leading medicine close to home,” Jones said in an emailed statement. “We recognized that a lot of patients, their families and their friends were traveling all the way to Houston for exceptional care and surgical treatment and wanted to meet that need at their doorstep.”

The hospital is in network with Cigna, Blue Cross Blue Shield and Aetna and is in negotiations with United Healthcare.

The building previously was the Memorial Hermann Tomball Hospital, which closed.

“We are in high demand; we have patients and community members stopping by to see us and say hello for almost a full year prior to opening,” Jones said. “We hear all kinds of stories and lots of appreciation for having this new service right here in Tomball.”
