Starting June 1, GFL Environmental, Magnolia’s solid waste and recycling collection service provider, will change the collection days in order to accommodate the growth of the city, according to an April 23 news release.

What you need to know

Services will continue with garbage collection two times per week and recycling collection one time per week. Residents are asked to place garage carts outside by 7 a.m., according to the release.

The city will be divided into two sections, with residents north of FM 1488 to have trash collected on Tuesday and Friday, with recycling collected on Friday. Residents south of FM 1488 will have trash collected on Monday and Thursday, with recycling collected on Monday, per the release.
