Tomball City Council voted to cancel its May 3 election for its unopposed races during its March 3 meeting.

The gist

Since City Council Position 3 and the mayoral position are unopposed for the May general election, the city voted to no longer have an election.

According to the agenda, the positions will be filled by:
  • Mayor: Lori Klein Quinn
  • City Council Position 3: Dane Dunagin
Both are incumbents, with Quinn serving as a council member from 2014-2022 before being elected as mayor in 2022, and Dunagin beginning his first term on the council in 2022, according to the city’s website.

Also of note
