Those interested in running for local elected positions can now apply to run for several Tomball- and Magnolia-area municipal and school board positions. The election is slated for May 3.

The filing period runs from Jan. 15 to Feb. 14. In Tomball and Magnolia, the positions up for election in May are:

Tomball City Council, Mayor

Tomball City Council, Position 3

• This position is held by Dane Dunagin.

Magnolia City Council, Position 1

• This position is held by Daniel Miller.

Magnolia City Council, Position 2

• This position is held by Buck Perino.

Magnolia City Council, Position 3

• This position is held by Richard Carby.

Magnolia ISD board of trustees, Position 1

• This position is held by Dacia Owens.

MISD board of trustees, Position 2

• This position is held by Sonja Ebel.

MISD board of trustees, Position 3

• This position is held by Gary Blizzard.

Candidates interested in filling for the May 3 election can get an application from the Texas Secretary of State’s website and file with the respective city secretary or at the MISD administration building located at 31141 Nichols Sawmill Road, Magnolia.
