Within the past five years, the education levels and median household income within the boundaries of Tomball and Magnolia ISDs has changed, according to the U.S. Census Bureau’s 2023 American Community Survey 5-Year Estimates released Dec. 12.

The overview

Within MISD and TISD’s boundaries, the percentage of people age 25 and over with high school diplomas decreased in TISD and increased in MISD, according to the bureau.

In TISD, the percentage of people with high school diplomas or bachelor’s degrees is 93% and 35%, respectively. In MISD, the percentage of people with high school diplomas or bachelor’s degrees sits at 91.2% and 49.4%, respectively.

The median household income for both areas experienced an increase between 2018-23, according to bureau data. In TISD, the median household income increased from $102,184 to $120,246, and MISD’s median household income rose from $78,705 to $108,191.
