During its March 18 regular meeting, Tomball City Council approved two Tomball Economic Development Corp. agreements with two commercial businesses—WR Transformers, Inc. and Sylvia’s Wood Fire Pizza.

WR Transformers, Inc. will receive 12,072 in incentives for the creation or retention of primary jobs associated with the development of its corporate headquarters facility, set to be located at 2013 S. Persimmon St., Tomball, according to the March 18 agenda packet. The company intends to bring 15 full-time employees and create an additional 15 full-time employees over the next one to two years.

Sylvia’s Wood Fire Pizza will receive $10,000 in rental assistance for opening a 2,280-square-foot space at 306 Market St., Tomball, according to the March 18 agenda packet. The owners of the restaurant also own Fire Ant Brewpub, which will be located next door. Sylvia’s Wood Fire Pizza will serve pizza, sandwiches and salads.
