Tomball City Council approves design for sidewalk near Tomball Intermediate

During its Jan. 22 meeting, Tomball City Council approved as part of the consent agenda—on which items are approved with one motion without discussion—a professional services agreement for the design of a sidewalk near Tomball Intermediate School.

According to the Jan. 22 agenda packet, Oller Engineering Inc. will be paid a not-to-exceed amount of $69,740 to develop design plans and construction documents for a sidewalk that will be located along Baker Drive from FM 2920 to the existing sidewalk on Hicks Street.

The purpose of the new sidewalk is to provide a safe route to pedestrians, which includes Tomball Intermediate students, according to the agenda packet.

The project’s budget is $324,860, according to the agenda packet. With this professional services agreement, the remaining funds sit at $255,120.
