The city of Tomball will host a remembrance gathering March 15 at the Tomball Historic Depot Plaza following the death of City Manager Rob Hauck on March 13. Hauck, who died in a motor vehicle accident in Waller County, served Tomball as chief of police, assistant city manager and city manager since 2008, Community Impact Newspaper previously reported.

Monday's remembrance gathering, held at 201 S. Elm St. from 4-5:30 p.m., will include a static display by the police, fire and public works departments honoring Hauck as well as comments from local church Real Life Ministries. The community is invited.

A formal memorial service will be announced later this week, the city announced Sunday on its Facebook page.

Mayor Gretchen Fagan also issued a proclamation March 13, calling for all U.S. and Texas flags to be flown at half staff in the city to honor Hauck's service.
