On Feb. 25, the Sam Houston Trail Riders made it into Tomball on their way to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo as community members gathered to welcome them.

The trail riders have been traveling a 70-mile distance from Montgomery to the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo for the past 71 years, stopping in downtown Tomball along the way. The number of riders varies between 50-75 with 5 wagons, according to the rodeo's website.
