High school fundraiser

The Tomball High School FFA booster club is holding a fundraiser to support its FFA students. This event will have a dance, a live auction, a silent auction and a raffle.

Carnival


Emory Glen, a new community in Magnolia, will celebrate its new amenity complex with a carnival raising funds for the Magnolia ISD Education Foundation. The carnival will include a ferris wheel, chair swings, carnival games, lawn games and a bungee jumparoo. Food will be available for purchase from food trucks, including Kona shaved ice. Guests will receive free popcorn and cotton candy and can also shop from a local artisan market. Emory Glen will donate $10 per attendee up to $5,000 to the MISD Education Foundation, according to an Aug. 30 news release.

Job Faire

The Texas Renaissance Festival hosts its annual Job Faire to fill more than 900 jobs at the upcoming 2023 season, such as food and merchandise sales, food prep, games and rides. Applicants must be at least 16 years old and able to work eight consecutive weekends, dress in costume and learn the King's English, according to a news release. Applicants are asked to come prepared to fill out an application and bring multiple copies of their resume.
