As early voting begins, here's everything voters in the Tomball and Magnolia area need to know before heading to the polls for the May 3 election.

What residents should know

Voters should note the following dates of importance in the upcoming May 3 general election:
  • April 22: First day of early voting; last day to apply for ballot by mail (received, not postmarked)
  • April 29: Last day of early voting
  • May 3: Election day and the last day to receive ballot by mail (or May 5 if carrier envelope is postmarked by 7 p.m. at location of election)
Voters must vote in the county they are registered in. In both Harris and Montgomery counties, voters can vote at any polling location during early voting.

During election day, Harris County voters can still vote at any polling location, while voters in Montgomery County must vote in their designated precinct. Voters can visit www.harrisvotes.com or https://elections.mctx.org to find polling locations.

Proposition A


The measure calls for the issuance of $480 million of bonds for the construction, maintenance and operation of paved roads.

Tomball ISD

Proposition A

The measure calls for the issuance of $331 million of bonds for the construction, acquisition, rehabilitation, renovation, expansion, improvement and equipment of school buildings; the purchase of school sites; the purchase of new school buses; and the purchase or retrofitting of vehicles.


Proposition B

This measure calls for the issuance of $18 million in bonds for the acquisition, improvement and upgrading of technology.

Proposition C

This measure calls for the issuance of $2.8 million in bonds for the design, construction, acquisition, rehabilitation, renovation, expansion, improvement and equipment of stadium facilities.


Proposition D

This measure calls for the issuance of $76.7 million in bonds for the design, construction, acquisition, rehabilitation, renovation, expansion, improvement and equipment of multi-program activity centers at Tomball, Tomball Memorial and Tomball West high schools.
