The city of Tomball has a new mayor with mayor candidate Lori Klein Quinn receiving 60.75% of votes, or 630 total votes. Incumbent Gretchen Fagan, who has been mayor since 2007, received 407 votes, according to city of Tomball unofficial election results.

Klein Quinn could not be reached for comment. This was posted on her Facebook page.

Klein Quinn is a retired CPA/CFP who has served on City Council for eight years and stepped down from her council position to run for mayor.

Fagan is an insurance agent along with being a Tomball business owner.

Position 3 will be decided by a runoff election on June 4 between incumbent Chad Degges—who received 422 votes, or 43.51% of the total—and Dane Dunagin, receiving 39.79% of the vote, or 386 votes. The third candidate, Sheryl Martinez, received 162 votes.

"I'm just happy that people did consider voting for me. I'm going to try to reach out to the people that voted and see what issues they had with me, ... see what I didn't do positive and see what I need to do to carry on. ... I'm going to listen to what Tomball really wants, not what I want," Dunagin said in a phone interview on election night.

Degges could not be reached for comment.

Degges has served on City Council for eight years and is an engineer and Tomball business owner. Dunagin has served on planning and zoning commission, board of adjustments and original zoning commission, and is retired from Baker Hughes.

Martinez is a small-business owner and commercial real estate broker.

Position 5 was open to fulfill the term Klein Quinn left when she stepped down to run for mayor. Randy Parr won that seat with 68.96% of votes, or 642 votes, while opponent Matthew Martinez received 289 votes.

"I'm looking forward to a lot of hard work. There's things we need to address with a new mayor, and we still have a runoff election. ... It's still up in the air as to how we move forward. I've got some ideas on things I'd like to address at council," Parr said.

Parr has been a CPA and is a consultant focusing on fire and EMS agencies.

Martinez is a small-business owner.
