Ahead of the 2020-21 school year, Magnolia ISD will be selling and lending laptops to students who do not have access to a computer at home, district officials announced in an Aug. 3 news release.

“Many of our parents have shown an interest in purchasing a computer from the district,” the release reads.

Students looking to borrow a laptop from the district, will be able to check out a laptop starting Aug. 10, while parents can purchase one computer per child enrolled in MISD starting Aug. 3.

MISD has two types of laptops available for purchase: a Lenovo 100E Gen 2 Chromebook for $185 and a Lenovo 300E touch screen Windows laptop for $310, according to the news release.

However, according to district information the Lenovo 100E computers will be delivered to the district on Aug. 14 and Lenovo 300E computers will be delivered in mid-October, after the beginning of the school year Aug. 12.
