Magnolia ISD selects Mike Overman to oversee new district conference center

Mike Overman was selected to oversee the new Magnolia ISD district event center, which is slated to open in August.

Magnolia ISD announced Monday the appointment of Mike Overman as the new director of conference facilities for the Magnolia ISD District Conference Center, which is scheduled to open in August.

“I am excited to be a part of this significant time as we prepare to open the new event center in our district and community," Overman said in a news release. "As a long-standing member of the Magnolia community, I look forward to working with our staff and the greater community to bring memorable events to our center."

Overman brings 16 years of experiences with Magnolia ISD, previously serving as the head athletic trainer for Magnolia High School. In that role, he was responsible for maintaining the high school athletic budget, developed athletic policies and procedures, managed 25 student athletic trainers and was responsible for the ticket booth at all athletic events.
