Tejas Chocolate and Barbecue officials said the restaurant expanded its hours and will be serving the Tomball area Monday through Sunday as of March 3.

“We decided to expand our hours to satisfy the numerous requests we were receiving for more availability of chocolate & barbecue,” Co-owner Scott Moore said. “I spend a lot of time at the restaurant on Sundays and Mondays during the construction of our covered patio and pit room seating area and I was rather surprised at how many people were coming to the restaurant not knowing we were closed on Sundays and Mondays.”

Since the expansion, Tejas Chocolate and Barbecue officials said they are able to provide more hours to their staff as well as expand their staff with the additional revenue that comes from the service hour expansion.

“We are grateful to be able to serve our community seven days a week now,” Moore said.

The restaurant was previously open Tuesday through Saturday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and has expanded its hours to now be open Monday and Sunday from 11 a.m.-5 p.m.

Tejas Chocolate and Barbecue specializes in hand-crafted chocolate and Texas-style barbecue. The eatery's briskets are USDA Prime Grade certified and are made with ingredients like Texas “black & white” brisket rub, which is about equal parts salt and black pepper, according to the website.
