Here's what's coming soon to the Tomball and Magnolia communities, from an ax-throwing business to wood-smoke chicken.
Tomball
1. The Axeperience, an ax-throwing business, is planning to open a location in late August or early September at 11721 Spring Cypress Road, Ste. S, Tomball, co-owner Jackie Parker said via email. When the brick-and-mortar location opens, it will have at least 10 lanes, a video game area for kids, and a space for kids 10 and younger to throw with a kid-safe ax and target, Parker said. While the brick-and-mortar location is in the works, the mobile portion of The Axeperience is up and running, Parker said. The business also offers discounts for first responders, veterans, nonprofits and teachers. 346-233-0891. www.houstonaxeperience.com

Eldridge Parkway, Ste. 400, Tomball, owner Amber Latu said via email. Recently moving to Tomball from Florida, Latu said the business is inspired by her late daughter, Journey, who died in 2021.
