General Manager Wesley McDaniel said the owners decided to open a location closer to home in Magnolia after producing the original Moonshine Deck venue in downtown Houston.
"Moonshine Deck Icehouse is a place where anybody and everybody can put their feet up, take the edge off, relax and enjoy themselves," he said in a phone interview. "We try to cater to everybody with a big screen for sports fans, live music entertainment for music lovers and fun decor with the swings outside and games like pickleball."
The icehouse offers indoor and outdoor seating with an open turf that boasts swings and lawn games such as cornhole, pickleball and shuffle board.
The bar serves specialty cocktails such as Moscow mules, smoked old fashions and frozen screwdrivers. The establishment also welcomes a host of food trucks with the resident Eat Love Conroe always on property, McDaniel said. Other food trucks rotate on weekends. Gray Dog Crawfish and Brothers Pizza currently occupy the space.
