Season’s Harvest Cafe, located on Shaw Road in Cypress just south of Tomball, celebrated seven years of business in September. Owners Becket and Joanne Griffith said they have always enjoyed hospitality and had the idea to start a business when they changed their diets years ago.

“We really started taking seriously the food we eat and what we put into our body,” Becket said. “We wanted to share that with the community.”

Joanne, the executive chef at Season’s Harvest, said she searches for the best organic ingredients to feed her family as well as her customers.

“Those were the best products that I could find whenever I was working from home and creating meals for my family,” Joanne said. “I started developing relationships with people and realizing this was the best product—what was grown here locally. So, we opened the doors and shared it with people.”

The menu at Season’s Harvest changes three times a week, giving customers a variety of entrees, Joanne said.

“Whatever it is that produce is offering that season, it’s typically what your body needs for that season,” she said.

The farm-to-table restaurant serves brunch and lunch Tuesday through Saturday and dinner and live music on Friday nights. An espresso bar and outdoor patio is also available.

The restaurant does not use vendors, Becket said. The Griffiths maintain a small farm behind the facility as well as a 6,000-square-foot garden for herbs. Becket said ingredients are also locally sourced from farmers in Cypress, Tomball and Montgomery.

“It’s really important for us to support our farmers and just to support our community,” Becket said. “It’s more than just serving [customers] food but also supporting local businesses.”

The Griffiths said they will open a general store later this year offering housemade goods on-site.

“Customers are the reason why we keep the integrity of what we’re doing. People come in here that have food allergies, preferences or they’re sick,” Joanne said. “I just get excited because I know that I can set something before them and know that it’s going to nurture them.”
