Since opening over the summer, District 2.4.9 on Hwy. 249 in Tomball has curated an extensive craft beer tap list and cocktail menu.

One of its signature cocktails, the Absolut Mule ($6.50), is a Moscow mule made with Absolut vodka, ginger simple syrup, club soda, crushed ice and lime juice and served in a copper mug, which helps to keep the drink cold.

“It’s one those old traditional drinks that came back [in style],” Manager Chris Surgi said. “We actually do sell a lot of them here, even though we’re draft beer oriented. And we’re reworking our cocktail menu, but this one is definitely staying, because it’s been the biggest seller.”

District 2.4.9’s cocktail menu also features other modified versions of classic cocktails, such as the Peach  76 ($8), made with peach vodka and champagne, and the Old Crow ($9), a take on the Old-Fashioned made with Buffalo Trace bourbon.
